KOALA CUTIE!

My friends Bob & Barb Cornish in Adelaide Australia keep me posted on Aussie animal news. I love koalas!

Ordinarily, koalas get all the water they need munching on eucalyptus tree leaves. Here is a photo I took in Brisbane, Australia in 2006: wild koalos in the trees!

During the recent drought, this was not enough... and one little koala came out of the trees to have a drink, and a bath!

This is one adorable marsupial!

It is very unusual for wild koalas to interact with humans. These cyclists had a remarkable encounter!

And finally, just for fun, here are a couple of my favorite koala portraits I shot during my 2006 Australia tour. I visited a zoo in every city. Three times in Sydney!!

This is a 'church signs' debate being played out in a southern town between a Catholic church and a Presbyterian church. From top to bottom shows you the response and counter-response over time.

The Catholics are displaying a much better sense of humor! You get the impression that the Presbyterians are actually taking this seriously!
